Service Description

What is a Doula? A doula is a trained birth companion or partner that provides emotional, physical, and informational support to a mother during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. A doula is not a healthcare or medical professional. The doula's goal is to make the mother feel safe and supported. Having a doula also increases the chance of a better birth experience. Supporters of mothers such as the father or partner, also get information and support from Doula. Doulas have a positive impact on the entire family. Birth and Delivery Doula Care includes: - 2 prenatal visits (weeks 36 and 37) -Holistic or non holistic Birth and Postpartum Planning -Provide resources and information for mother and support person. -Support during labor (physically, mentally, and emotionally) - 1 postpartum visit ( 2 hour visit)
